This nature reserve features a variety of habitats, including woodland, grassland, and wetlands, which support a wide range of plant and animal species. The reserve is home to several ponds, streams, and a lake, attracting birds, amphibians, and insects. Visitors can explore the area via a network of footpaths, including a wheelchair-accessible route, and take in the scenic views from the elevated viewpoints. The reserve also boasts a community garden, where locals grow their own fruits and vegetables, and a picnic area for relaxation.
This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit and walk round. There are several excellent routes to take, all of which are easy to walk and all offer spectacular views. The wildlife here is amazing and on a good day you can see several species of birds, squirrels, swans and ducks. There is a reasonably sized car park too so no excuse not to visit.
Cracking place for a dog walk or with the family! Be amazing in summer!
A lovely nature reserve, perfect for taking the dog for a walk, or a little afternoon stroll with the family. Dogs are allowed, and there's a car park for convenience. Great for an hour or two.
Great place to walk the dog off lead, right from the car park (probably space for 15 if parked properly). Picnic area and community woodland next to a little lake with QR code information from local experts which was brilliant alongside picnic benches and a couple of bins. So many different paths and walkways to choose from, but the main path is all gravelled and level, takes between 30 and 40 minutes to just go around it. Definitely a gem to return to!
Lots of space to walk a dog.
