Visitors can explore the many footpaths, bridleways, and cycle routes that crisscross the landscape, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including rare species such as the marsh fritillary butterfly and the Dartford warbler.
Great fun for all the family. Loved the museum & deer train. Absolutely fantastic day! Fab gift shop & lovely staff!
Bicton park is amazing, thought PS16 per adult and PS1 per dog was expensive, that was until we started a tour of the grounds and what it offers. Good walking or comfortable shoes are needed, but o my goodness it's just amazing, with different areas on the grounds to orangies and ducks with their ducklings, geese with their goslings, streams and waterfalls. Several areas for refreshments and play equipment for children, to a museum. A shell house and small church. It has a gift shop with restaurant and plants for sale. I came away with 4 plants. I believe that Bicton college train students in horticulture and agricultural and provide staff here. Great teaching aids. A must go visit.
Always a joy to visit this outstanding part of our beautiful country.
Stunning views down into Branscombe beach on the coastal path from the village of Beer.
We spent a pleasant week based in Budleigh Salterton in October. We had sunny days and rainy days as exepected in Autumn. Nowhere busy, so perfect for 'Oldies'. Parking was expensive though.
