Amazing day out. Definitely pre book the Roamer ticket online as cheaper (18.50) You can get on and off the trains as you please and there are lots of stops to explore. We found a food carrige on one of the stops and micro pubs on two others. The team on the platforms and on the trains were phenomenal, volunteers too?! They were all knowledgeable and really great to chat to It felt like everybody there wanted to be there. Great accessible ramp onto the steam, wheelchair carriage too! Accessibility seems to be a huge priority and very well managed. Thank you for being inclusive

We had a lovely family day out on this lovely, well maintained railway line. The staff are all absolutely lovely, friendly and very helpful. Chandra Law at Ramsbottom was especially pleasant, what a lovely lady! We visited with 2 small children, a pram and elderly parents and the help we received getting on and off the trains was great. I really can't speak highly enough of the people. There is a cafe on every, or almost every, station with coffee and snacks. Some stations have really nice looking lunch spots but we didn't try these as we took a picnic.

Gala weekends can be extremely busy. This well kept station is a good starting point to visit the town & surrounding area. Food & drink is a short walk away.

Had a lovely trip to this station.. I took the train ride from bury. Lovely traditional station with old bags on show. Traditional crossing here and classic bridge over the railway. Great sport to just see the stream train. PS8.50 return journey for adults to bury. Kids were cheaper and they do an OAP discount. Journey was about 20mins each way on a wonderful stream train.
