Glamping and cosy cottages in a countryside setting on the North Cornwall Coast. Perfect for families, groups and couples.
Very impressed with the quality of facilities and service which are more akin to professional hospitality than a glamping campsite. ||Accommodation was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Location is fabulous - 15 minutes to Summerleaze, Crooklets and Sandymouth magnificent beaches. Little Pig Farm shop and cafe 5 minutes in the same direction. ||Memorable week with the dogs and (20 something) children which we all enjoyed tremendously. We will be back!
Naomi and Adam have got a very special place here. |Even though we spent everyday exploring, at night it was good to relax and spend the evening watching a film or playing the provided games. |The cottages are nice and clean and most things are provided which makes it welcoming when you arrive. |We originally thought when booked is that we had a hot tub as the pictures showed one, but this was in fact for one of the pods, but it didn't spoil it.||I would've like to have seen a recycling bin in the kitchen, which would also encourage people to recycle too. |There is a barn outside with heat lamps to play games, quizzes etc, but the main floodlight didn't work, but again this didn't spoil it and we used phone lights. ||For those staying; |Bude is around 12 mins away with nice clean beaches and places to eat. Car parking isn't easy, so get there early. All day parking is PS10.50. |The seas are very rough, but there is a sea pool for younger kids. |If you've brought kayaks, go into Bude where the tourist information centre is and you can pay a very small fee to go on the canal. Don't go to Tamar lakes nearby for kayaking as they require at least PS30, plus hire of life vests and they also want insurance proof too. If we wanted to do it there (with our own kayaks too), it would've cost PS260 for the day! |Also go to Crackington Haven beach which a lovely little place that isn't too overcrowded with a great pub to eat right on the sea front. |If you go to Padstow, park at the car park which is just past 'Place Hill' on the right as that is just PS3 all day. Also in Padstow, walk around the Harbour and where it splits to the right to the Ferry boarding pier, go left and follow the footpath, as there is a secluded long sandy beach which is not known by a lot of visitors. You can also get a boat trip from Padstow for nearly two hours for PS17 for adults and less for kids which was great.
We stayed in the Ebb roundhouse at East Thorne for the first week of the school summer holidays, and it was the best start to the hols for the whole family.||The roundhouse was deceptively spacious, with large draws for all of our clothes under each bed and a couple of hangers on the walls. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking breakfasts, lunch and dinners, and there's a BBQ outside for those warmer summer days. ||A big selling point for us was the fact that the roundhouse is dog friendly, so that we could bring our 1 year old Cavapoo along for our family holiday too.||The hot tub was a brilliant addition and we used it every day we were here. We were also impressed that it was cleaned and treated daily, and the guy cleaning it was super friendly and chatty.||The kids loved feeding the goats and chickens and we very much enjoyed the fresh eggs that are available to buy. ||Whilst we were here we visited lots of local sites and attractions, including Clovelly, North Devon Aqua Park, Summerleaze beach (the sea pool and surfing are great here), Tintagel Castle and Port Isaac. ||Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.
Me and my family have just arrived home from a week of staying here! What can we say? We absolutely loved it. We were warmly welcomed by Sue and Paul, they were always on hand for any questions or just to have a chat with. |We stayed in the Ocean room. We were located right next to the animals, which was super cute! I did think at first they'd wake us up in the morning but we didn't hear a thing! The hot tub was used every single day! The kids loved it! |We found the pizza oven a nice added touch! Made our own homemade pizzas! We also had a night around the fire pit and toasted some marshmallows. |We'd never been to Cornwall before, I found Bude the perfect location. The beach was absolutely beautiful. |I would 100% recommend this place! We were all very sad to leave! Hopefully we'll be back soon!
WOW - this place was amazing! We had 4 nights in Cynefin Roundhouse. We were met by Sue who was friendly and explained everything we needed to know on arrival. The roundhouse is private, and ultra luxurious, with everything you need to make a very comfortable stay. There is a beautiful rainfall shower and the added addition of a stand alone bath... gorgeous. The views are beautiful, made better whilst leisurely sitting in the hot tub! All round a very perfect week.
So impressed with East Thorne, from the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and decorated to a high standard with a log burner (we didn't use this as we were lucky with the weather). There was plenty of space for the children to play including a football pitch, volley ball/badminton net and table tennis and they loved the mornings they could help feed the animals. We will definitely be back for another visit.
