Impressive castle and grounds! Lovely day out visiting with so much history and also great outdoors rooted around with lovely sights of the castle. Getting there is a little tricky and have to plan your visit when the castle is open (usually Sunday) but well worth it.
An excellent day out. Easy parking, short walk too the castle. Dogs allowed inside the castle rooms. Additional bonus was the archery that was on for kids and adults alike. There was also a super car event on that had some to cats on display. With checking which events are on. Plenty of walks of various difficulty. Loads of good play areas for kids. Full cafe services and ice cream Parlours. Very dog friendly.
Eastnor Castle runs a number of events during the year. We visited a steam rally this weekend and it was absolutely amazing. Lots of visitors, lots to see and the castle grounds themselves are beautiful. Digital ticket was bookable online and was reasonably priced for a family. Once you were inside, apart from food and drink there was nothing to pay for. Definitely worth a visit..
Lovely place to visit for a family day out. Lots to occupy children outdoors - playgrounds, trails, tree swings, maze and places to have a picnic. Check website for special activities as well. When we went Herefordshire Wildlife Trust were doing things like dens, bug hunts, mud kitchen etc. Good cakes and ice-creams in the cafe and courtyard too. Staff were polite and friendly.
An excellent day out for young and old alike. The fake castle is really well and tastefully furnished with historic fittings and furnishings, including many genuine suits of armour. Outside, the maze is trickier than it appears, and there is plenty to entertain the kids including a permanent obstacle course as well as ad hoc events in lovely surroundings.
A new favourite place to go. We honestly couldn't fault it. Getting there is easy, M5 J8, M50 ... you're there. Ample free car parking. Every weekend is a different themed event. Cafe is crewed by slow uncommunicative teenagers, so a queue forms very quickly and doesn't go down quickly. But places employ zombie teenagers everywhere, that's just life as a functioning grown up, had to be accepted
