This Local Nature Reserve is a special place where you can soak in peace and tranquillity. A place to relax! Discover this peaceful nature reserve where you can enjoy a quiet stroll around the wildlife ponds and tree-lined old railway. The series of borrow pits provide valuable wetland areas for wildlife, where plants and animals are not disturbed. Eastrington Ponds, which covers 23 acres, was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 2002 in recognition of its wildlife value and its importance to the local community. Fishing is permitted on the main pond, however charges apply. You can purchase a daily fishing ticket or an annual; fishing ticket online through the Brid Spa website.
What a great little find. I lived around here for 5 years and only just visited. Lovely ponds to fish, trails to walk round with nice setback seating areas. The only negative is not enough bins for dog poo bags. Will definitely be going back. Note, it's only a short walk, 30 -40 mins.
A lovely peaceful place. To fish or just enjoy some quiet and a short walk. Not too busy. Space in picnic parking for about 20 vehicles.
Lovely walk out with the dog. Took about an hour or so to walk longest route at a gentle/reasonable pace.
A great place eastrington ponds the pathways are well.lookefvafter making walking east. Will be back for certain. Anne walker
A beautiful peaceful place to walk, ducks & geese on the pond. Squirrels, birds butterfly's etc.
A little gem of a place to walk when the weather is hot, a lot of cool shade under the trees. As a former angler, I was surprised at how poor most of the pegs are, there is a lot of dead weed just a few feet from the bank that doesn't look like a healthy fishery should, plus there are a lot of overgrown trees which would make casting difficult at all but 2 or 3 pegs. More of a bird watching pond than one for fishing?
