**Correction: The entrance gate has now been replaced and gets locked @5pm.** We stop by there regularly on our travels out and about just to give the dog a run. She loves it there. It has a small parking area, picnic tables in an open grassy area and footpaths for exploring. There's a bin for rubbish too. It used to be gated & locked after 6pm but somehow the gate was smashed and still in pieces. All around a pleasant little rest or picnic area.
Brilliant picnic site in a lovely area we had breakfast. Lovely walks through the fields and a beautiful village plenty to do and all the people in the area are friendly. Litter free what is nice too see worth a visit
Nice place for a quick picnic and a walk. Car park is large enough but the picnic area is small with only 2 tables
Small little meadow. Lots of wildflowers. A bit of a surprise place. Good for dog walks.
Tried to enter this lovely site at 2pm on a Thursday - the gate to the car park was locked!
It's not the biggest picnic site you'll come across and it does lack basic facilities such as toilets. However, it is very accessible, has free parking and is ideal if all you want to do is have a quick snack and take your dog for a stroll around the pleasant surroundings.
