Perched atop the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle is a historic fortress that dominates the city's skyline. This ancient stronghold has witnessed countless battles and sieges, and its rugged beauty still exudes an aura of power and mystery. The castle's complex of structures includes the 12th-century St. Margaret's Chapel, the Royal Palace, and the Scottish National War Memorial, each one telling a unique story of Scotland's rich history. Very intriguing and interesting part of Edinburgh Castle. Remember to read the history of the 1 o'clock battery gun.
Another beautiful part of Edinburgh Castle. We saw a piper there who was amazing.
It is amazing how the castle build many Century's ago is sturdy and well preserved. What a picturesque view of Edinburg. My favorite part was the old Chappell inside the castle.
One of the main reasons for walking all the way up to the castle is the views and this is one of the best places to get those views. Panoramic views of the New Town and Princes Street across to the Kingdom of Fife.
Another great view from above and through firing position.
