This 19th-century Victorian country house is nestled in 25 acres of beautifully maintained gardens and woodland. The house features a stunning collection of antique furniture, art, and artifacts, showcasing the history and heritage of the Edmondsham family. The gardens boast a variety of plant species, including roses, herbaceous borders, and a tranquil woodland walk. Visitors can explore the house, gardens, and surrounding woodland, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views.
A house and grounds that are owned by original family. The house is lived in and you are shown the open rooms by the present owner. I really enjoyed her dry sense of humor and the interesting things She said about her family. The walled garden was lovely...with a cottage garden feel. The old Apple Trees were amazing.... Really lovely atmosphere in house and gardens.
A lovely house with beautiful gardens. Very much a lived in family home, we were shown the gardens by the gardener who had been there for 40years. The lady owner provided tea and cakes, then took our tour herself. So much more interesting than a guide.
Interesting old Manor House and estate all with a very personal feel about it. Gardens are very nicely laid out with some unusual specimens. Also a well stocked walled kitchen garden.
My partner and I had a wonderful tour of the grounds, house and gardens from Julia as part of a potential wedding venue viewing. I fell in love with the outstanding beauty, huge space, history, well maintained lawns and gardens. Julia is so welcoming and accommodating, incredible asset to this amazing venue. This beautiful manor must be appreciated in person, I look forward to returning!
Very picturesque walled garden and interesting other areas and church. House not open, but the gardens (and church) were well worth the PS4 entrance fee. Plan to return when the house is open.
Will definitely return when summer growth kicks off. The entrance charge of PS4 is greatly appreciated by so many who don't have deep pockets. The village hall a joy to behold and a return to the 1950s style of village hall so many of the older generation remember well. And the spread of sandwiches and cakes a feast to behold and beautifully cooked and presented. Excellent value for money and well worth a visit. We will return.
