The castle's whitewashed walls and towers rise dramatically from the water, surrounded by majestic mountains and sparkling loch waters. Visitors can explore the castle's grand halls, chambers, and battlements, taking in the rich history and stunning scenery of this iconic Scottish landmark.
A lovely spot to stop off at and take in the beautiful views over Eilean Donan Castle, Loch Duich and Loch Alsh. It's a short drive from the Castle itself, passing through Dornie on the way. The layby parking area isn't particularly big (enough for about six cars) but as it's out of the way, it usually has space available. Well worth the short trip up the road.

View least people know. Can see the whole area from up there. Better view than any.
