This 12-acre community garden in Nottinghamshire features a variety of themed gardens, including a sensory garden, a wildlife garden, and a community orchard. The gardens are maintained by volunteers and offer a peaceful retreat for visitors, with walking trails, seating areas, and a pond. The project also includes a garden centre, a cafe, and a shop selling plants and gardening supplies.
Lovely garden to walk round with allotments in the walled garden. There is a coffee van thurs Friday sat. You can make your own in the Bothy shed for a donation. Nice walk along g the river. The crown pub is not far to walk and the village is beautiful.
A lovely peaceful setting for a walk through the gardens or sit on a bench and watch the river flow by. Great for a picnic too. As far as I know, the garden is run by volunteers who are an extremely friendly, happy bunch of people who offer a great service to the community! I can't wait to go back!
I absolutely love this garden. We come regularly and it's great to see the garden changing with the seasons. The sensory garden and teds tubes- where you make music- are my favourite and my children too. The orchard is lovely to walk around as well as the walled garden- seeing what's being grown. There's lovely sculptures and fish to see too. A hidden gem!
Absolutely love it here. One of my toddlers favourite places. Great venue for photos, really pleasant interactions with those that volunteer for the project - very knowledgable.
Excellent. Well, it's worth a visit. Great day out if you want to relax and see nature and nurture work hand in hand on an outdoor project.
Such a beautiful place and oasis of calm. It was like entering a secret garden. Open to public daily, tea and coffee available via volunteer cafe. House contains library and toilet.
