Museum dedicated to the history of Elstree & Borehamwood with stories and photos of the area. Exhibitions change every six months - the current Exhibition is "Holby City at 20".
The library is a special place to me, it is very interesting, the selection of books and magazines is great, my wife is the bookworm, I enjoy the magazines and the museum. It's disabeled friendly. There is a nice coffee shop inside right by the library entrance. There is a lift and a staircase that's inside the library so it's easy to go to the next level and the museum. There is a really nice children's library section, our grandchildren love it. There are computers, e-books, large print books. The staff are exceptional. Go there, treat yourself. There is a charity box near the lift, please contribute, pennies add up to pounds, support the cause the library chooses for the good of us and our children and grandchildren. Have a lovely Christmas and a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous 2024. Regards, Arnold Aarons.
An excellent exhibition of the pre WWII Northern Heights extension of the Northern Line north of Edgware.
A lovely well thought-out museum filled with people who genuinely care about their exhibits and the local history. Great train set In the middle too!
Tiny, but really friendly with some interesting stuff
Very well appointed library. Apart from books you can borrow tablets, use computers. But the highlight is a free mini museum of the local area. The exhibit that was on when I went was The Tube Line That Never Was.
A small bit wonderful museum filled with helpful and knowledgeable staff. The current exhibit on the Northern line extension that never happened was captivating and I'll be certain to return for future exhibits.
