Such a great experience! Purchased tickets for myself & 2 friends to celebrate my birthday. It was really nice going on a stream train and the decor / staff were amazing but I was underwhelmed by the route and views on our side of the carriage. Had a great time regardless however, I wouldn't spend that much again. I would say though, they should keep it up as I'm sure some would absolutely love it

The breakfast special was purchased as a birthday present as I had never rider on a steam train (aged 65). On arrival at the station, a quick check of our booking. Then, we were issued our tickets. Quickly found our seat. Breakfast served as we travelled to Bolton Abbey Station. Full English 10/10. A 20 to 25 minute stay at Bolton Abbey station . Only a short steam journey but I've ticked off my steam train journey. Would I recommend it - yes I would.

Had the pleasure of Afternoon Tea on a restored Steam Train. Booking was simple online with a option to select Vegetarian. On arrival, staff were pleasant and informative, we found carriage A quite easily and the staff on board were nice. The actual food was nice and service was great. We didn't have all the food on the way to Bolton Abbey and saved some for the return journey. You stop for around 20 mins, and you can stay at your seat or leave to have a look around. Overall very good and I would recommend. I would only change one thing, when returning there was keenness to clear the tables whilst Customers were seated, I don't think ideal.

Very delightful experience The breakfast was served with a smile, food was really nice, and piping hot. Served with plenty of tea and coffee and fruit juice. The train ride was pretty, takings in the Beautiful Yorkshire views. Plenty of free parking with no height restrictions. We'll worth a visit.

Visited as a member of the Volkswagen Type 2 Owners club to display our vehicles. Always receive a friendly reception and it's a pleasure to see the steam trains and old diesels. Our club had breakfast on the train and the staff were very accommodating. We were parked up at Embsay Station where there is a small cafe, gift and bric a brac shop. Toilets are immaculate. Thank you to everyone involved for allowing us to stay over again

I want to start by saying I have done a few steam / train experiences across the country and this is definitely one of the worst. I had booked the Steam Railway with Fish & Chips experience. On arrival, there was plenty of free parking in their car park and the train was on the platform. We arrived slightly early but were told we would be boarding at 6.20 pm. We didn't board until 6.30 pm and sat in the station for around 15 minutes having moved only a few metres. We then waited for the engine to pull round the other side as it then hooked on and took us on our trip... only to be pushed back into the platform to sit and wait again. When we eventually got going we went 15 minutes down the track before stopping at Bolton Station for around 20 minutes before travelling back (again another 15 minutes) and all off the train. So all in all you only do a 15-minute journey each way - one of the shortest trips I've ever done on one of these experiences!! The staff took our drinks orders before boarding and by the time we were allowed to get on the ice in my glass had melted and I needed a fresh glass with ice - thank goodness I didn't order a Gin with ice as this would have ruined it. The fish and chips were served in the boxes and cutlery was on the table. The only thing missing was mayonnaise! I asked a staff member for some and never saw her again. Had I known I would have brought my own. They provide - ketchup, brown sauce & tartar. The fish and chips were lovely though - no complaints there. On board our carriage, seated in the middle, was a group who had the entire football game playing on their phones on the table and would shout and cheer and bang throughout the entire experience. This is not acceptable! And I cannot believe the staff didn't say anything. I didn't board a sports train! I expected a peaceful lovely train ride in the countryside and instead felt like I was sitting in a rowdy pub! Absolutely ruined our evening! All in all I would not book an experience here again unless I happened to be in the area and had nothing better to do. A 30-minute train ride with football fans was not what I expected. I would have given one star rating but the fish and chips were good.
