English Spirit distillery have opened the doors to their Grade II listed Black Barn at Great Yeldham Hall, and would like to welcome you in for a distillery tour and tasting like no other. The Black Barn, is home to twenty copper pot alembic stills, the home of English rum, and The UK's biggest collection of scratch distilled spirits & liqueurs, including...vodka, gin, rum, brandy, single malt, liqueurs, and more! You'll get to see the distillery team, turning the stills and infusing our pioneering range of spirits with the finest quality ingredients. Sharing the knowledge of our Master Distiller, Dr. John Walters, and allowing you to sample our sensational range of spirits.
We just had a fantastic tour today! Martin, the tour host was informative, friendly and engaging. We we learnt a lot about the process of making the huge array of products made on-site and he answered all questions about the process. After visiting the distilling barn we retired to the tasting barn to sample the many spirits, liqueurs, non-alcoholic drinks and even vinegars made here! Ended up buying a few of bottles to take home (with discount too) after the sampling, well it would be rude not too! Would highly recommend the tour and Martin was a delight to be with and nothing was too much effort. Thank you.

A hidden gem of a distillery that does an amazing variety of gin, rum, vodka, and other drinks from sugar beets. Martin, our tour guide very graciously explained the history behind the distillery and stories about the master distiller behind. Must visit if you're nearby - we discovered some of the smoothest, delicious spirits I've ever tasted!
Fantastic experience! Dont be deceived like I was driving in thinking maybe you've come to the wrong place, because you haven't. It's a charming 200 year old barn making amazing tasting spirits. Our guide Martin was full of knowledge and kept us engaged. It's not like some tours where you'll wander around a large facility, it's full of charm and a lot happening in a small setting. There was plenty to sample definitely not stingy in the tasters, and the flavours are fantastic. We got discounts on bottles for doing the tour and came hope happy. Without a doubt the best "limongino" I've tasted along with other drinks they have on offer. Quality not quantity!

Compared to other spirits and liqueurs these smashed them out the park. They were amazing! Ended up buying a couple of bottles to take home! Would highly recommend the tour. Outstanding tour which was led by the one & only Sambuca Gentleman. Myself & my partner first time with nice group of people on today afternoon event and absolutely loved the experience. Distillery is on beautiful Heritage land. There is nice range of samples to try, from Vodka, Gin, Rum and Liqueurs there will be something for every pallette. Definitely be leaving with purchasing few bottles when leaving. I highly recommend this experience.
