This is a tiny sandy bay with a chalk reef which is hidden behind chalk cliffs. There is a large area of grass at the top of the cliff. Access is via a cobbled slope on one side and a steep set of steps on the eastern side of the bay. This secluded bay has sea walls on two sides and part of the eastern side of the bay. The access to the sand is by a concrete slope. No toilets or lifeguards at this location.
Beautiful. Scenery is beautiful, always quiet it sometimes feels like your own beach! Perfect to let your doggo ponder, and the shells you find there are crazy! Make sure to not take too many Could spend forever here - it's so peaceful. Remember I visited in an "off peak" season, so it could get busier.
Beautiful bay. Enclosed and fairly secluded but very accessible! Only downside is there is a LOT of seaweed and made the dog stibky
What a fantastic space for dogs, especially the ones like mine that are not always friendly towards other dogs. Completely unspoilt with no tea/coffee stands or toilets, just loads of natural beach space.
Quiet and tranquil. Lovely for walks or cycling
Quiet bit of the Kent coast between the busier Herne Bay and Margate. It is easy to reach by train.
Stunning views, we ride past here regularly on our bikes
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
