Lovely wee spot to pitchup for a couple of nights! Right on the canal and a short walk into the village with quaint shops cafe and a couple of good pubs. We have an elderly cocker who loves our van and enjoyed the short cut to the pubs! weather was not the best but made the best of it as you do. great spot to meet our friends on their long boat
Small caravan park near a canal and within walking distance of local amenities. Toilet block is small and showers are in a separate building but it's adequate for the size of the site. The owner is a very friendly and down to earth/jovial bloke. It's a beautiful area and it's a good base for exploring the Yorkshire dales. Skipton is just a short drive away. I've stayed here a couple of times and I find it quite pleasant. Ace chip shop in the village .Skipton is a4 1/2 mile walk along the canal from the site.
We stayed here walking the pennine way. It is right by the canal. We were camping in small tents there is a area by the office, next to the road. The showers and toilet block are in the main caravanWe park as well as the pan wash area. Lovely soft level grass area. Friendly chap runs it. Idea for walkers on Pennine Way
Conveniently placed site with very clean modern toilets. Malhamdale and Skipton are within a few miles. There are buses to both places but not all that frequent. If you are fit enough you can walk along the canal to Skipton and catch a bus back. The village has two pubs within walking distance. (I would recommend the Masons Arms for both food and drink). The site itself is pretty crowded and a bit "car parky" with a good number of static caravans.
Stayed two nights Friday and Saturday, booked over the phone, pictures looked great....only booked here because are usual site had a big wedding on. Arrived at Eshton road camping, very nice welcome from the chap who we think owns it, was told to follow him, only went 10 yards and was told they had reserved a space for us I must say we were slightly disappointed as it was was on concrete with chippings on the top...three more motorhomes there, some on tarmac. Most of the site appears to have permanent caravans and statics on...only a small grassed area. Pitches were really close to each other for the motorhomes. Toilets and showers were clean, but the showers could to have done with a mat or similar to stand on or a stool. We thought the price per night was a little high for the pitch we had All in all, handy to use at the time, good little town with all facilities and PS2-00 bus into Skipton. Honestly, do t think would use again sadly.
Great site very well tended with very friendly owners and staff. Only stayed the one night but hope to return later in the month. Facilities are excellent and location is ideal for Skipton and surrounding area. Many thanks for a great visit.
