This visitor centre offers insight into Exmoor National Park's rich history, geology, and wildlife through interactive exhibits and displays. Rangers and volunteers are on hand to provide expert advice and guidance on exploring the park. The centre also features a shop selling local products and gifts, and a café serving refreshments.
as you descend from the alley that starts from the top of the hill right at the end of the cliff railway, you reach this place where you can relax with a coffee or eat something and admire the sea. they also have an information center there with souvenirs and the lady is very nice. there are also toilets.
Right on the Harbour front at Lynmouth is this amazing place. The National Park Center is full of information about the local area and the Exmoor National park. I visited here because I was welcoming a walker, (Becky) who was completing the Two Moors Walk. 160K of hills, wild camping and beautiful scenery. The center holds a book that records the names and dates of all the walkers who have passed that way. The Walker statue is right across the Esplanade and is a landmark statue that sits at the end of many walks. The staff were great and really got involved with the event and welcomed and congratulated Becky on her walk. There is also a cafe upstairs which is awesome so be sure to stop for refreshments too. Great source of information. We received a warm welcome and got graet hints for hikes in Exmoor. Excellent coffee and tea upstairs.
Enjoyed the Cream Tea. Didn't think I'd get through it all. Oh well it was Yummy
Warm welcome from staff, excellent menu with loads of choice, especially for vegetarians. Plus, good prices and value for money .
Fantastic views all around this area sea views are Porlock beach, the Moor views are looking at Lorna doone country, if you go to Porlock be sure to visit Bossington, cross the bridge over the river and follow the path toward the sea, to the old coast guard building. (2 miles ish)
