Nestled in the idyllic village of Eype and a short walk from the unspoiled Eype Beach, Eype Beach Holiday Park occupies 4 and a half acres of rising ground and beautiful extensive sea and countryside views with a choice of hire caravans. Located on the first natural World Heritage site in Britain, the famous Jurassic Coast, Lyme Bay was awarded its status due to being the only stretch of coast offering a complete record of 185 million of Earth's history. Fossil hunting is a favourite activity amongst our visitors at Eype House with Lyme Regis being the place to visit for any avid fossil hunter.
We had the most wonderful stay at Eype holiday park. The caravan was perfect, clean, modern and well equipped with everything you could require. We borrowed and returned books and buckets from the little toy library in the launderette room as had left ours at home. It's a short walk down to the beach. We made use of the leisure and bar facilities at the neighbouring park which was about a 20 min walk along the south coast park towards West Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed the game of foot golf there and recommend the food at Martins bar and restaurant, it was delicious. We made the short walk to West bay to see the torchlight procession and fireworks whilst we were there and the children also had a play on the amusements. It really is in a fabulous location. Would highly recommend this place.
We stayed in a beautiful new caravan on this lovely quiet site. The caravan had all the kitchen items you would need for a holiday and we just had to bring our bed linen. It was very clean and the simple online check in/check out process made it stress free and felt as though you were trusted to just get on with things. We were also pleased to receive a text letting us know our caravan was ready an hour or so before the usual check in time. |The only downside to this site is that the amenities (shop/pool/clubhouse) were all on the neighbouring site about 10 minutes hilly walk/5 minutes drive away but that didn't hinder us personally. |The road to this site is super narrow in parts, unfortunately we did have a car bump in to us who was too impatient to back up or wait, but that's not the fault of the site, just the idiot driver. |I would definitely return here.
Excellent holiday! Love the spot, the caravan and the staff. Excellent view and whole 7 days holiday was well worth.
Pay to park for the beach and a fair climb to get down to it. I couldn't manage to footwork but my missus did. The access road to the car park from the main drag is very narrow to say the least. Caution driving down here well advised.
Gorgeous beach. Definitely not wheelchair accessible but easy to get to via steps down. Lovely scenery. Tide can get a bit choppy but it's definitely worth the effort #Stunning
For location you can't get much better. You can literally hear the waves lapping the beach. Direct access to the coast path which takes you to two lovely towns in each direction within a couple of hilly miles. If you love the sea, walking and fresh air and quiet this is the site for you. |It is set on a cliff but once pitched sideways is pretty flat for sleeping. Ideal for smaller size vans. Toilets and showers are clean and free. There is a small beach cafe on site open in main season. Also loved the dvd and book shed for free swapping and borrowing. Overall we had a great stay, the bigger site next door has a bar and serves food ( we had carvery which was great). Nothing to complain about, we will be back.
