A great place for families and children of all ages. A good range of animals, including peacocks, sheep, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, alpaca, wallabies and loads of pigs! You can feed the goats, sheep, alpacas and cattle with grass pellets. There are loads of animals that want these. There is bird seed for the turkeys, chickens, ducks and geese, but most of them aren't bothered and it's virtually impossible to feed the chickens because their enclosures are built like fort knox! The cafe has several choices of hot food, ice cream, coffees and cakes. Well worth a visit, especially for animal lovers.
Visited with our eleven year old daughter and she loved it. We have visited many attractions like this and I have to say this is by far the best. All the animals look well cared for and their enclosures are to a very good standard. The cafe is clean and tidy and reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We will visit again. My only little complaint is the surcharge on oat and soya milk should you want that instead of cows milk in your drink.
Great day out . Brought our grandson and he loved it. Friendly staff and the animals are so well looked after and clean. Fantastic value for money and a beautiful place.
We had a super visit, and my daughter really enjoyed walking Neptune the Alpaca. Ciara was very knowledgeable about the animals and the centre. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We also had a lovely lunch in the cafe. Great value!
absolutely lovely day out for the whole family. facilities are pristine, we were well looked after by all the staff and all the animals were very well looked after too. very nice place to visit!
We visited the animal centre today after first exploring the surrounding nature walk which was really great, with fields, streams and ponds. The Animal Centre itself was very accommodating, we were in a party of 24 with a mixture of adults and children and the staff were very welcoming. First we had a spot of lunch and the service was fast and food very nice, especially the cheesy chips. We then went on the mile walk around the pens saying hi to all the animals they have. The children had a great time feeding the various animals including sheep, goats, chickens, Lama's, Ponies as well as others. Would thoroughly recommend to all visitors both young and old.
