What a wonderful couple of hours my grandson and I spent meeting beautiful owls and falcons with their owners and handlers Barry and Lucy. We both shared the amazing experience of donning gauntlets and handling the birds as they flew to our rewards. The birds are in tip top condition and are clearly part of the family and much loved. I thoroughly recommend you pay them a visit amidst the stunning countryside of mid Wales.
Sat 8 June took my grandchildren to the falconry centre. Barry met us .give us a insight into is career in falconry.he was fantastic with the grandchildren as one is autistic. We will be taking the boys back next year . For the flying experience.
The Owl Encounter was booked as a birthday present for my husband and on the way home he said it was the best present he'd ever had. Luce and Barry gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. They are both passionate about their birds and very knowledgeable, explaining everything in an interesting and informative way. The owls are beautiful and we felt privileged to be allowed to hold them. The nature garden is beautiful and peaceful and it was a stunning place to watch the owls fly. This was an excellent afternoon out and would definitely recommend. 5 +++++ stars.
Review of Falconry Experience Wales We've just returned from an amazing day out. Barry and Luce were so welcoming, when we arrived we felt expected and were greeted by the birds being displayed in the field on their perches. Luce and Barry are so knowledgeable and passionate about their birds. What an amazing day. The one 2 one experience felt personal to us and we loved handling the birds and seeing them fly and feed onto our glove. I would highly recommend a visit, excellent service and value for money. We will go back again to see the vultures when they grow bigger and the storks that may be arriving soon. Thank you Luce and Barry you are a credit to your birds and conservation.
