Our first visit, stayed for three nights in our own tent, pitched in the Orchard area. We are a family camping with friends who were pitched next to us.||What we Liked.|The staff in the farm shop/reception are amazing. Extremely polite and always willing to help. We felt very welcome on arrival.||The Farm Shop, bar and Pizza facilities are great. The shop is well stocked with all the essentials and more. We had pizzas on our first night which were delicious, the garlic bread was so good.||The pitches are lovely, we really liked the long grass between the pitches and all the apple trees in the orchard.||Lots of activities for kids, we only did Tie Dying as this worked well for the ages of our kids. They loved it wanted to do it again.||The showers were all nice and clean and lots of hot water.||What could have been better.||The noise at night! The10:30 rule for no noise didn't appear to be enforced . Two of the three nights that we stayed we were awoken by late night drinkers who didn't seem to have a care for other people on the camp site getting some sleep. One night at 4am a full on drunken domestic that seemed to go on for hours.||Busy Camp site. There are a lot of people, too many for the size of the field in my opinion. It was bank holiday weekend so I appreciate it was always going to be busy but for us it wasn't enjoyable. ||The kids tent is a great idea it could have been better, especially on the Saturday when it was non stop rain. Unfortunately it was full of leaks, all the tables and chairs we were wet Seems like a missed opportunity that could be great for kids with a few tweaks.

We enjoyed a four night stay here with friends. Booking our three pitches together was easy. We enjoyed the bar and well stocked (for a campsite) shop and on-sight restaurant. Prices for most things were very reasonable. We had an issue with the mens shower during our stay where there was no hot water. This was quickly resolved within less than a day. Kudos to the team for sorting that out quickly. Facilities are decent and very clean compared to many other sites we have stayed at. My one and only gripe is the layout of our specific pitch - C29. It was constantly used by the tents behind us as a route to and from the shop & toilets. I know privacy is limited on this kind of trip but a bit of encouragement from staff to keep to your own pitch and use the designated track would have been appreciated. We tried setting up our table and chairs in front of the tall grass that divides the pitches but that didn't seem to stop our "trespassers". It really is the only fault I can find of an otherwise very good campsite. Definitely stay here. Just avoid C29.

Good location to explore the local area. The campsite is nicely maintained and clean with a communal play area and retreat tent for the kids to play safely. Sadly we were unable to try the catering options or gin bar as they weren't open on the days we stayed. The toilet and shower block is combined and not nearly big enough to accommodate the number of campers in such a small space, often had a queue and squeeze past people to get to the sinks/showers. It is also the most expensive non electric camp per night we've had this year with others having similar if not superior facilities available.

Liked: This was our second trip to Fallow Fields. It is a lovely clean and welcoming site with very friendly staff and good clean facilities. The field kitchen serves the best wood fired pizza I've ever had and the bar has a good selection of drinks. Very much looking forward to coming back again. Disliked: I feel the shop has a limited variety for people who are traveling light and it would be handy if they took cash, or at least advertise that it's a card only site.

We used to be regulars to this site pre covid. It was small, friendly, and provided a wonderful open space where children could run freely and be seen. However since COVID they've added a layers of unwanted rules and segregated everybody in the field so that each plot is surrounded by long grass which caused irritation and children were not allowed to cross. This is not a place to enjoy with friends or in groups. I understand the need to be respectful to your camping neighbours but continued tellings off from the bully of a manager that stays at the site is unwanted and aggressive. On the day of leaving, we had encountered some rain which delayed the prompt 11am departure. Bearing in mind we had ten children to feed, the manager not only intimidated us by sitting in his vehicle staring and telling us to leave, he was also intimidating to the children. We were only an hour off schedule. I won't be going here again and I shall be warning others who are were also regulars not to return. They've lost the essence of what camping and community is. Shame

Had another fantastic stay at Fallow Fields - it's such a great set-up if travelling with kids. The picnic tables outside the shop have a commanding view over the campsite so can keep an eye on the kids. The space between pitches is very generous and the grass is grown long between them providing a natural barrier. It creates a wonderful vibe. The shop is very well stocked for emergency items and treats, and the staff extremely attentive and friendly. We've been 5 or 6 times now and my son loves it, always making new friends there and creating lasting memories.
