Liked: The views are spectacular! Lovely clean, hot showers and toilets. Whole site is well maintained with lots to do. The food in the bar/cafe is delicious and the young waitress Libby, did a fantastic job! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Disliked: Poor wifi but ended up being a blessing.
Liked: Quiet location; shower & toilet cubicles clean and warm; plenty of play equipment for younger children; great views; well-maintained paths through the animal paddocks. Disliked: Some play facilities (eg play barn) seemed a little tired / could do with refreshing; Friday family night was very popular with non-resident visitors, though in fairness everything quietened down nicely before 10pm; grey water / Elsan point a bit rustic.
Liked: The toilet/shower block was really well maintained and clean, plus there were plenty of hot showers so there was never a queue. Lovely walks with lots of wildlife to see and the pitches were level. Disliked: Has been really nice on previous sites for the owner to be there on arrival or to show presence during the stay, felt a little impersonal this time. Would be nice to have the cafe open a little longer. We did also have a problem with being plagued by wasps.
Liked: The owners were very friendly, the facilities were great. My daughter loved the trampoline and hay stacks to play on. The Friday entertainment live music and bouncy castle was fab, I was able to enjoy a relaxed cider while my daughter played. The whole vibe is relaxed and the set up is so simple but so effective for kids. The shower/toilet block was always clean. We had a great stay! I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone with a young family.
Liked: We loved this campsite. We stayed as a group of friends with children ranging from 2 years old to 11 years old and we all had a fantastic time!! Plenty of fields to run around in ..... we spent one afternoon having a big game of rounders in one. Nature trails which were very picturesque. Animals to see ...... highland cows if you can spot them! Live music, a bar, bouncy castle on a Friday night. Great toilet facilities that were kept clean all the time and never over crowded. A park for the kids, and a few rope swings dotted around. We will definitely be recommending and definitely be returning. Keep up the great work Farway. Thank you.
Liked: Great site with a lovely feel to it. Great mix of people and very well laid out. The showers are the best we've ever had on a campsite, almost like a hotel bathroom. My only criticism would be the lack of bins. Not a big thing but a few more around the site would be great. On the whole a lovely family friendly site we will be visiting again.
