Although this place is not very big, I'm gonna have memories that will last forever from here. The staff are so knowledgeable and kind, they genuinely care about their zoo friends. From holding snakes and bugs which is included in the standard admission, to flying and feeding owls. Definitely worth the price and it's just pure amazing.
Wonderful experience for animal lovers. We enjoyed the informative morning porcupine & meercat feeding and the afternoon touch & learn experience with a few of the resident creatures & kritters. Was well worth the small entry fee of PS5pp. Hope the locals embrace this small zoo and make it a regular outing, helping to support it out of season particularly. This centre is constantly expanding and improving. Looking forward to seeing the future additions.
Great place. Very cheap. Has a shop on site with food and drink. There are regular show and tells where you get to meet animals or you can pay extra for one on one. My son and daughter met and fed a fox. Great fun
Staying at Gwel an Mor, and thought that the animal experiences would be enjoyable for our seven year old son. It greatly surpassed our expectations. The Reptile Encounter was run brilliantly by Jo, who allowed plenty of time for all children to carefully handle and help feed numerous reptiles. It was informative and very considerate of the reptiles. Our son got to see Porcupines feeding, and then flew three owls at the Owl Encounter. It was friendly, and fun.
Loved the badger watching experience last night, all thought out so well, tea, coffee and hot chocolate plus yummy goodies to enjoy while waiting for them to turn up - we didn't have to wait too long until 3 appeared and were so close to the hide, ramp to the window was so much fun to watch as curious noses found a little more food to lick off the glass! Noises outside made them run only to come back and be joined by a fourth, two went after a while only for another to join (different direction) so seeing five in total was amazing. Fourtunate that we were the only ones booked as didn't have to share the space and didn't think I'd find myself sitting on a carpet in the hide literally one foot from them outside. Brilliant way to spend a night
A fantastic evening feeding porcupines, handling snakes and chameleon, rabbits. Flying owls.... and meal included. 2 hours of pure enjoyment....worth every penny.
