This 17th-century cottage is a rare surviving example of a traditional Irish mud-walled thatched cottage. It features a rustic, earthy exterior with a thatched roof and whitewashed walls, surrounded by a lush green landscape. The interior boasts a cozy, simple layout with a large open fireplace, wooden beams, and traditional furnishings.
Such a beautiful house. There were lots of attractions within driving distance such as loch Ness, Pattack falls was within walking distance from the cottage. The cottage itself had dvds, books, games and even bird food already there. All we had to do was get food and drink, which we bought from the local town. The only issues we had was that the bathroom was downstairs and there was no WiFi. However the signal was really good out there and the views made up for it.
If you just want total peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. Not far from Kingusie for a chip shop or you can have a trip to Fort William or Aviemore. Wolftrax is just along the road for trekking or mountain biking. The cottage is spot on, everything you need. Would recommend.
