This sanctuary is home to over 150 owls from 32 different species, offering a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with these majestic birds. The park features a variety of enclosures, including walk-through aviaries and traditional perches, allowing visitors to observe the owls in a naturalistic setting. The sanctuary also provides a breeding program for endangered species, as well as a rehabilitation center for injured owls.
This is the best place I've ever been to. There are a lot of different types of owls, and we even saw a few eagles and falcons too! All the volunteers were lovely and helpful. They don't push for donations but you definitely should give what you can as all these lovely birds are well looked after
I went with my 1 year old baby in a sling carrier. Despite the cold wet weather we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I parked by the lake and walked up but you can drive right up. Not buggy friendly but that's ok. The birds are all very healthy looking and some were hooting which my boy loved, and the owls seemed to enjoy our company. We left a good donation to help keep the place running. Staff were friendly. I highly recommend it and will return in the summer.
Beautiful owl sanctuary tucked away in the valleys, very friendly on site staff, I believe volunteers. Well worth the journey
What a fantastic place this is. We thought there would only be a handful of birds but there is currently well over 40-50 birds. Phoenix the Steppe Eagle was a personal favourite, a very active bird. We was able to stroke some of the new younger owls and the lady we spoke to was very informative and I have found the staff to be wonderful, considering reading other people's reviews. It is free but it is worth any form of donation you can give. If it was a PS5 or PS10 entry fee I would not complain.
Quirky and homely sanctuary. Extremely nice staff. Lots of owls and birds to see, reasonably priced gift shop on site with all proceeds going to upkeep of the sanctuary. A must for all bird lovers. Will be returning in summer. Please donate as there is no entrance fee. Free parking on the road outside of the entrance.
Very friendly staff, warm and welcoming. As usual the birds are absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend a visit here, it's a free trip out. Visit now to and leave a voluntary donation to show your support for a fantastic cause!
