This heritage railway offers a nostalgic journey through Fife's scenic countryside, featuring a collection of vintage locomotives and carriages. The railway is operated by volunteers and runs along a 10-mile track, passing through picturesque villages and offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely ride in comfortable seating, with the option to upgrade to luxury accommodations or even drive the train themselves. The railway also hosts special events and themed trains throughout the year, such as Santa's Grotto and Dinosaur Adventures.
The vintage vehicle show was great, cheap entry.PS2, and good selection of memory Jenkins vehicles
Advertising for events here is not great. They rely too much on the internet and a banner at the corner of the street. Have been asked on numerous occasions how to get to here
Attended the Bus Bundle event and it was a great day. All the volunteers were super friendly and happy to help. Great place for all things trains and it was nice with the added buses and fire engine.
Great place good day out with buses on show, train moving on track and few stalls models for sale, tombola and some parts for buses for sale. Would be back.
We attended the bus and rail weekend. First thing I would say is the adverts are misleading, implying that it is 1 ticket for entire event. Not PS6 for train & PS2 for bus side. This caused some embarrassment and budget concerns for our family. We never seen the bouncy castle which was disappointing for the kids. PS6 each for a very short journey on a train is not good value for money and unrealistic for familys, considering it gave around 10 minutes entertainment. However the bus event side of things was very good and all staff we encountered where very passionate and friendly. Based on value which is important for familys I wouldn't recommend sorry.
Popped in for a quick visit today. Had a tour round the workshop, a very unexpected trip along the track and a lovely hot chocolate in the cafe. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers made us most welcome - thank you
