We had the pleasure in conducting a wedding at the very lovely Firle Place this weekend. What a venue - move over Bridgerton! From the beautiful grounds, spectacular views and wonderful acoustics, we could not fault it. Chloe, the wedding coordinator was attentively on-hand, and nothing was too much trouble. A beautiful place in which to tie the knot! Kate and Kate think Firle Place is great!
Lovely special place. Not at all busy when we visited on Sunday afternoon for a tour of the House. Amazing history in a wonderful setting. Recommend a Cream Tea to help take it all in!
Absolutely love this wedding venue, its probably one of my top 5 venues in the UK. Love love love it and also the team at Blue Door Weddings are fab. Can't wait to visit again soon to photograph another Firle wedding. Lemonade Pictures xx
What a fabulous afternoon tea!! The price was amazing too. There was so much food and all beautifully presented with a great choice of sandwich fillings and cakes. Everything was so lovely and fresh with plenty of tea available as well as cool water. We took advantage of the great weather and sat on the patio. Thoroughly enjoyable time had by all and leftover cakes were boxed up for us to bring home. We will definitely be back!!
Great place for a visit. Very informative guide on the tour with lots of gossip but not too much information. Lovely house with added bonus of a tea room with lots of seating inside and outside.
A Sunday visit means you are free to wander without a guide. But since there is a guide in every room you can ask questions or move on at your own pace so the best of both worlds. Except some decorators left the rope barrier down and a few of us wandered off down the private corridors into what looked like service rooms. Very interesting behind the scenes contrast cut short when we were rounded up. This is a beautiful family home and quite domestic in scale apart from the Long Gallery which could host a tennis match. Not much in the way of gardens to detain you but the tea room serves good coffee and a limited range of tasty cakes and sandwiches.
