Fletton Lake is a serene and picturesque lake located in the heart of Cambridgeshire, England. The lake's tranquil atmosphere is surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant wildflowers, creating a sense of peace and harmony. Visitors can stroll along the lake's edge, taking in the sights and sounds of nature, or enjoy a leisurely boat ride across the calm waters. The lake is also a popular spot for fishing, with an abundance of fish species waiting to be caught. As the sun sets, the lake takes on a magical quality, with the surrounding trees and flowers bathed in a warm, golden light.
Beautiful spot. The locals have had to start litter picks as the land owner is not interested. No bins and lots of fishermen who leave their rubbish behind, which is terrible as we are lucky to have this on our doorstep.
Although a large section of the reserve is inaccessible, the parts that are are lovely (despite the rubbish many people leave behind). Since the lake used to be a brick pit there are quite a few remnants of what used to be scattered around the place which are all remarkably interesting if you're interested in local history. Overall, the lake is lovely although somewhat rubbish laden thanks to careless people.
Has possibilities of being a nice place if the weeded areas were cut back so more people could fish around the lakes
Good for walk around if could walk all way round
Great place to admire the lake and relax.
Hello, I want to know if it is possible to fish in this lake?
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
