Floating Pocket Park is a unique urban green space in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. This innovative park is built on a former industrial site and features a series of interconnected floating gardens, elevated walkways, and scenic viewpoints. The park's design incorporates reclaimed materials and incorporates existing industrial features, blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Visitors can explore the park's winding paths, take in the city views, and enjoy the vibrant flora and fauna that thrive in this unexpected oasis.
Love this wee oasis at the top of Edgware Road - what a great idea - places to sit by the water - floating pontoon gardens, beautifully laid out with benches. And lots of eateries too, from Greggs and Pizza Express to more upscale cocktail Venues (might check one out before I leave!) Sun is out too - what's not to love about this?
This is a nice small hideout hidden next to Paddington Station. There's a fan bridge that lifts up every Wednesday and Friday at noon and floating platforms where you can sit down to enjoy lunch/sunset. They have services to book a floating jacuzzi with friends but I personally feel it's too small and open to get some privacy and enjoy without people staring.
Great area to live in London
Great place to chill AND it's in busy west London! Behind the Hilton Hotel hidden away under the archway by Carphone Warehouse opens up a door to freedom from the busy city life. Great places to eat indoors and out are RIGHT here! A nice free boat taxi ride is available here too. Walk a few hundred yards/metres and there is a canoe boat hire, street food, co-op, fitness gym, new apartment developments, post office, did I say street food already? To top it off you get to listen to the traffic -no, fountains of water. You may be tempted to get a job in this area, like so many do! It's amazing! Merchant Square is the place to be! I wonder what it's like at night? Only one way to find out....
