Easy walk from the car park at the top of the road to Yellowmead Farm off the B3357. Beautiful area and good for wild swimming, some parts would be unsuitable for young children.
A beautiful hidden away gem. Path leading all the way from the car park. About a 15 to 20 walk. Beautiful views and a great place for a picnic.
Just under a 2 mile walk from entrance there and back, a rough stony path but level route. Beautiful, peaceful and a hidden surprise. Stunning panoramic views of moors.Just perfect, but there are quite a few leeches around the lake, apparently the uk has 17 freshwater leeches, but only the medicinal leech sucks human blood, not sure which type is here.
This place was so peaceful. The walk to the Quarry is fairly easy and totally worth it. We also saw ponies and there was a very nice ruin.
Had a fabulous walk here today 3 hours in the most glorious weather ( freezing but bright sun) absolutely recommend this area and will be returning soon. Thoroughly enjoyed some homemade soup in the car and people watching afterwards.
Such a peaceful place, lovely clean water, true Dartmoor bliss. Kids, adults and pooches will absolutely love it
