Folly Farm is a sustainable not-for-profit events venue. Plus, all our profit is directly gift-aided to the Avon Wildlife trust, helping to support local nature conservation.
Wow what a venue! we photographed our first wedding of 2024 here and it was just perfect. The couple were actually some close friends so we got to experience everything both as a guest and as a photographer. Personal highlights include the connected nature of everything. Flow in a wedding day is really important to us, and that everything is close by, guests can stay on site and that the surroundings are stunning just made for the best day. Check out the hidden corners around the main house for some of the best photo spots. Give me a wedding here any day!
Folly Farm was the perfect place to host our wedding. We used all 20 rooms on site to host our extended family. We went on group walks into the nature reserve, played summer games on the lawn, and hosted an acoustic open mic in the orchard. The staff at Folly Farm were helpful and available, especially on the wedding day, when they provided a calming and assuring presence which helped everything to run smoothly. The food was also amazing and plentiful! The garden to the rear of the centre is where they grow some of their produce as well- which we loved. Being right on the doorstep of nature was exactly what we wanted, and Folly Farm certainly delivered. As you'd expect of a nature reserve/retreat centre the bedrooms were functional rather than decorative, but we knew this going in. We wanted quality time with family over a "luxurious" feeling space. Folly Farm offers a lot of options to personalise your event, and we really loved this aspect. We wouldn't have chosen any differently, thank you Clare and Team!
My (now!) husband and I had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect. We cannot praise the team at Folly Farm enough for their communication before the event, taking the time to answer the many questions we had, and on the day they were exceptional! Everything ran so smoothly and I have no doubt that it was down to the staff, everyone from the servers and bar staff, and of course Matt our wonderful wedding coordinator on the day and Jason one of the managers who ensured that everything was attended to throughout the evening. The venue itself is so beautiful and our ceremony outside in the orchard was everything we wanted. Thank you Folly Farm
We photographed our last wedding of the 2023 season at Folly Farm. It was a beautiful venue and a pleasure to work there. Our couple had their ceremony at a nearby church so we were at Folly Farm a little in the morning and then following the ceremony. The space there is amazing, and we felt so well looked after by all the staff. We are back at Folly Farm this year for a full wedding and we can't wait. We would happily recommend this venue to any couples looking for their wedding venue.
I see the other reviews and it doesn't add up for me. Whoever was happy there benefitted from good weather and did NOT use the accommodation. I've stayed at hostels better than this. Bunking as adults? Sharing a room with multiple couples and no bathroom or changing area to the room (at least put up a curtain or something!), having to line up with everyone else for the communal bathroom??? No flip-flops or robes provided, as you will have to go upstairs/downstairs to shower. You only get a small towel, so I guess you're supposed to otherwise expose yourself to the other guests walking back to your room??? It was cold and rainy, no attempt was made to warm the rooms; my partner and I got ill. The standard of cleanliness left much to be desired. The breakfast was also bad. I will stop here. I will never set foot there again, and from now on I am arranging my own accommodation at weddings.
We had our wedding at Folly last week. What an incredibly beautiful place. The wedding was faultless. Clare and the team where absolutely amazing from start to finish. I am a parent of a SEN child, they were nothing but excellent with supporting him during our stay and going the extra mile. We have had a truly amazing experience and would recommend Folly 100%. Thank you Clare and team you have been amazing
