Once parked, take the lakeside path south to the Hydro Dam, a lovely spot for a picnic. What's nice about this place, is it's still pretty unknown, so even on the warm bank holiday weekend, there aren't masses of people about.
It does give some nice views over the lake and a little walk down to the hydro generator, you can go on through the woods on the public footpath. Parking is a pain in the posterior it's limited or you can join everyone else and park on the road half on the the verge.
