Ford Park provides a beautiful, 8 acre walled community green space at the heart of Ulverston. In our large Grade II, Victorian walled area, we provide popular playing fields that are used for many local festivals and events, a new inclusive playground area, a kitchen garden, greenhouses, a plant nursery, community meeting space and a volunteer centre. We also have a restaurant on the premises to help the community enjoy our Park. The park is managed by the Ford Park Community Group, a local charity set up to ensure Ford Park remains a beautiful, green space and community asset for the Ulverston community. We rely on funding, grants and donations from members of the public to maintain and develop this beautiful park.
Lovely little park. Outdoor gym and play area. At the end of the park is a lovely walled garden that you can walk around, and there is a cafe. Carry on ahead and walk up to the monument if you are feeling energetic. Great views on a clear day, we managed to spot Blackpool Tower.
Lovely little park, play area.loved the what sort of animal am I trail for the kids they really enjoyed it. Under the watchful lighthouse on the hill. Parking waS a donation off PS1. Also base cafe was great reviewed separately.
Popped to this park to walk my dog whilst visiting the Lakes for a few days. A simple but pleasant green space. Nice that there are designated areas for dogs off leads / children, so everyone is catered for. Also loved the wild flower section.
Great place for a walk and the community garden was relaxing. Definitely go again.
Amazing park for older and younger children. Was also happy to be able to be with my younger son and still watch my older son whilst playing but still in view. New play equipment is lovely and my sons loved them! Nice green fields handy parking if you go through the big gates into the park. There is a cafe and walks up to the lighthouse we had a lovely time!
Food was totally exceptional...a culinary delight, very special..my husband and I shared the vegan truffle broth and vegan risotto... Totally exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much
