Nice historic site on the Bristol to Bath cycle route. Perfect for stopping and resting for a while :)
What a fascinating find on the Bristol - Bath railway path. Here there was a junction with platform faces following the lines of the diverging routes. Trees are planted where once the platform canopy supports stood. Original platforms and ornate walls survive in places.
It's an empty shell and nothing there, just an old railway station wall with window art in the old framework. The platforms are still there and the Bristol to Bath cycle track runs one side and into Bristol and vice versa. To the side of the station is a another lane that takes you to the north of Bristol, near the UWE and MOD.
Beautiful place to visit, plenty of seating and benchs should you wish to have a picnic.
It's an old railway station. Kind of wish it still had trains rather than cyclists...thats progess for you.
Very special place on the well connected cycle paths. Either go Bristol to Bath to Bristol. Or like me, join from Winterbourne
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Good for kids
