The Former Radar Tower is a historic radar tower located in the United Kingdom. It was built in the early 20th century as part of the country's air defense system and played a significant role in detecting and tracking enemy aircraft during World War II. The tower stands at an impressive 100 feet tall, with a distinctive conical shape and a rotating radar dish on top. Its strategic location provided early warning of incoming air raids, allowing the British military to respond quickly and effectively. Today, the tower has been restored and now serves as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the country's military history and the importance of radar technology during wartime.
My one of the favorite fishing spot, with both tranquility and adventure. On calm days, this place is beauty and perfect for fishing with joy. However, when the wind picks up, it adds a dynamic challenge, testing patience and skill. Embracing the wind's dance turns a simple calm fishing into an exhilarating and memorable adventure, perfect for those who seek both serenity and excitement in nature.
Shame something could be really made of this.
Such a shame this was allowed to deteriorate. Was such a fascinating place when i was young.
Great radar , out of order at the moment
Nice place to visit for a nice walk and spend some time. But only in summer please not in the cold weather. As you wouldn't be doing much in a cold weather.
Public place
