Small family run farm offering an up close and personal experience with animals along with stunning views across the Marshwood Vale.
Simply the most wonderful farm. Perfect for all ages. The play area is well thought out for all ages with lots of slides so no child was waiting for a slide. The animal handling/cuddling experience was the highlight - so so lovely and all included in the price. On that note, for such a lovely farm with lots of animals, it really is quite cheap (so rare these days)!! The little cafe was great, the food was lush, particularly the cakes! The staff were honestly so brilliant - you can tell they really care about what they do. Cannot recommend highly enough - everyone should go here!
Fantastic day out for all the family, highly recommend the guided tour. Adrian was very knowledgeable and excellent with children of all ages, and encouraged all to take part. Animals are very well looked after and good variety. Lovely assortment of toys in tuff trays for younger children. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience
We had the pleasure of visiting Foxdown farm on Monday. It's fully interactive hands on experience which caters for all age groups, including adults. It's a family run with a personal touch. Very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you may have. They were very accommodating with handling of all of the animals. This included a personal request from myself to spend one-to-one time with the silkies chickens. I would definitely recommend and visit again and I strongly recommend foxdown farm
Amazing farm with lots of animal interaction for little one and the view is superb as well Plus you get an interaction with the bunny rabbits the view is just awww. Enjoy a nice coffee and a toast as there is a small cafe as well. Would definitely come gain.
Lots for under 5's. So much to do with a good variety to suit all tastes in a smaller area, great for little legs. The cafe is reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed hand feeding the animals, playing in the various toy stations, the outdoor climbing frame and trampoline and football .
Not just for children! As a couple aged 23 & 33, we found our visit to the farm to be an excellent place to stop on our way back to Dorset from Cornwall. We visited on a Friday afternoon & almost had the place to ourselves for the 90 mins or so that we were there. By all means, this isn't a huge farm, but buy some bags of feed & take your time to feed the many goats (& sheep). The opportunity to handle some Rabbits & Guinea pigs of various ages was a delight, whilst talking with Adrian & learning about the farm, its staff & its many animals. The fact we visited at a quiet time made it feel like we were VIP's when handing the animals. We highly recommend a visit, whatever your age, with or without children.
