Casual hillside guesthouse with expansive Loch Ness views, casual dining, a bar and a roof terrace.
A pretty basic place. We stayed in August but it was very cold and confusingly the heating was on on full blast when we arrived at 4:30pm but turned off shortly after and cold by bedtime and in the morning. Service was non existent. We were welcomed and received instructions not to eat or drink red wine in our room. I only read about the bar later so didn't try it. We also didn't have breakfast booked and weren't asked if we wanted any. Assumed they didn't serve it until I saw they had a breakfast room on our departure day. We were charging our devices in the room while out and about which were switched off by the person who cleaned the room. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. However, overall I would not recommend staying here for the price (We paid PS320 for two nights).
The Foyers House is an absolutely splendid place with high comfort and very friendly and helpful hosts. |We had two rooms and they were decorated differently in a very tasteful way. The beds were really good to sleep in. The bathroom nicely, modern furnished. The whole place was very clean|The view over Loch Ness is amazing.
For genuine rest and relaxation, Foyers Guest House was exactly right for us. We had a bedroom, bath and living area. Immaculate and so cozy. Bedding was perfect. Quiet!! |The food was delicious. We enjoyed the beef pie, steak, and salmon dishes as well as the salad and pita/feta starters. I note a lot of those complaining failed to read the rules. No food or red wine in the rooms. No children. That's how it stays immaculate. Louise runs a tight ship because it's a Guest House, not a hotel. As far as we noted, they worked tirelessly to make a pleasant stay. Yes, that means restricted hours for meals and a limited menu, but everything was sumptuous and perfectly done. 200 whiskies if you like that. We laughed and joked regularly with Louise. Views are great. The falls of Foyers are just across the street. Wow! There's also a small coffee shop and grocer next door. Next time we would have a car. Bus service is limited and hired cars expensive. Finally, the family cats on property love any attention and were a much-welcome bonus for us. If we find ourselves in Foyers again, we'll happily return.
Lovely spot in Foyers, a very quiet and tranquil area of Loch Ness. Nice guest house, everything was clean and fresh, lovely rooms. We had dinner on both nights and the food was excellent! Really beautiful views from the rooms and dining area.
Hotel was lovely and breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and looked after us. Rooms were very clean and looked new. Location is beautiful with stunning views of the lock. The only downside for me was the cost of the EV charging which at PS1 per kw is way too expensive for a slow charge. Not fair to state EV charging available and then make the cost unaffordable. Otherwise would recommend.
immaculately clean accommodation. Large portions of well cooked food and friendly hosts. Location can't be beaten. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Very close to beautiful waterfall. Lots of friendly cats which didn't worry us but might be an issue if you're allergic
