Absolutely breathtaking and refreshing hike around the lake. It was a mini adventure for us. We went through so many terrains and that got our adrenaline pumped up. It was fun to greet and wave 'hi' at other hikers. Lots of scenic views, walk along nature and fresh air away from the city!
Nice walk to the end to get here, there's a couple on benches to rest as well. The view of the waters is good.
God's gift to us. A corner of heaven. Inspiring place. Just be quiet and listen to nature and think that there must be a creator of this magnificent landscape.
Glorious views of Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. Akin to being on a tropical island during summer. Its only a 15 minute walk from the main carpark or a 20 min walk from the bus station. Very busy during peak times. You may not be able to hang around for long due to limited space.

We had perfect weather for a great walk down to beachy area where the dogs loved having a splash about. Really beautiful lake. Plenty of space in the car park (to pay) and toilets and cafe as you enter.
