Great for a walk round. Good underfoot too. You can walk for miles here
What a lovely place to walk . We have never been before as we don't live near there . But definitely recommend . The dogs loved it also, and the people we met were all very friendly
A great place to walk the dogs or go for a ride on your bike or horse! It's a huge area that would take a couple of hours to get round if you wanted to walk round it all. From the small car park you walk up quite a steep path right to the top of the hill. From the top you get amazing views of the surrounding countryside and villages. There's also some information plaques on the top telling you about Frickley Mine. It really is a lovely nature park and I will be back to walk the dogs again very soon.
Nice open place to walk your dog, go for a stroll or run, or find out a little about the old coal mining site. Parkrun every saturday morning too. Access walking from several places and 3 carparks into the area.
