This 7-mile trail follows the route of a disused railway line, offering a peaceful and scenic walk or cycle ride through the picturesque Frome Valley in Somerset. The path takes you through a mix of woodland, meadows, and villages, with the River Frome flowing alongside for much of the route. The trail is relatively flat and well-surfaced, making it accessible to walkers and cyclists of all abilities. Along the way, you can spot local wildlife, including kingfishers, otters, and butterflies, and enjoy the vibrant wildflowers that bloom in the spring and summer. The walkway also passes through several charming villages, where you can stop to admire the historic buildings, visit a local pub, or grab a snack from a village shop.
Nice walk and lovely place to walk the dog
Maximus (my dog) and I walk along the Frome Valley Walkway on a daily bases and we both love it... Also really nice to see all the various trees and foliage bud, blossom and change through the various seasons.
Relaxing walk running through Yate easy access and we'll signposted. Look for the Kingfisher Logo.
Great local place to go for a walk, sit by calm river and simply relax;)
Walk neglected and poor signage at important points. A walk along the stream between housing estates. Not a long walk .
Fabulous walk led by Dave from Horseshoe pub. Very enjoyable and informative x
