This 12-hectare nature reserve is a former quarry site that has been transformed into a thriving haven for wildlife. The quarry's limestone walls now provide a unique habitat for a variety of plants and animals, including rare species such as the Duke of Burgundy butterfly and the chalkhill blue butterfly. The reserve's grasslands are home to a range of wildflowers, including orchids, gentians, and knapweed, which attract a variety of bees and other insects. A network of footpaths and trails allows visitors to explore the reserve and take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
I builded pit bike track. If you want, we can go to a race. It's great to ride a motorcycle here.
A lovely place to walk the dogs! Only downside is the amount of motorbikes always flying around but if you threaten to call the police they soon clear off
Stayed here with the English civil war society on my birthday weekend. Sorry about the pic of my birthday cards in the caravan
Nice warks great place to let your dog run free
This place is a nice to walk around, the reason why I'm giving it a one star, is unfortunately the way it's been treated. They call it a nature reserve but all I've seen it's a hazard to nature, the amount of rubbish down here is despicable. Sunderland Council wanted city of culture well I'm sorry if this is the way they treat their nature reserves they don't deserve it
Best place for bikes on the doorstep dog walkers complain about bikes but it's us that keep the trails open.
