High-speed coaster giving riders the sensation of flying face down, with 360-degree inversions.
A really, really good ride for beginner roller coaster lovers. There are three easy but fun inversions and a good speed. The seats are comfy and you don't get bashed about or rattled like some of the other rides at the park. Great ride will definitely be going on it again.
Amazing ride . The whole experience was super fun and really felt like you were flying !! No complaints with the ride although the area is a tad bit run down and could do with a re paint / theme.
Went here first on our Alton Towers day trip. Galactica is a little disappointing on the theming front, but the ride itself is amazing. It feels like a grace flight... its not overly fast, it's not crazy Gs... its just a simple fun ride that's a great introduction to roller coasters.
Its a very worn out ride. Lots of duct tape on some of the restraints, which felt yucky. The ride experience itself was okay. The other rides like nemsis reborn and the smiler provide a much more thrilling experience.
The ride was fantastic! My party did have to wait a while in the queue but the experience was worth the wait. Single Fast-Pass tickets were an option and I would personally advise getting them after debating whether the queue time on the Alton Towers App is too long. I purchased them on other rides after my hour long queue on Galactica, and they allowed me to get on more of the rides at the park; I regret not doing the same for this thrilling ride. Lockers for bags and coats were available and spacious, as well as them being locked during the ride to keep them safe when unattended. Would definitely ride again (with a fast pass this time)!
Definitely one of my favourite rides at Alton Towers. It feels like you're flying and that is an amazing feeling. And it's the only face down coaster I've been on
