Garden Cliff is a picturesque cliffside garden situated in the rolling hills of the Welsh Marches, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The garden features a variety of plants and flowers, including rhododendrons, azaleas, and hydrangeas, which bloom in vibrant colors throughout the spring and summer months. Meandering paths and scenic walkways guide visitors through the garden, which also features a tranquil pond, a charming summerhouse, and a delightful tea room serving refreshments.
Beautiful view once you've climbed the hill but very limited parking
Another really good place with great views of the river Severn and surrounding area.
From the small car park which fits 3 cars, you can see a view of the river over the waist-high wall. To access the cliff base and beach, you need to climb over the wall near the car park then climb down some rocks. Once there, the view of the red cliffs is beautiful. Not suitable for wheel chairs at all unless you only walk down the path which is only about 100m without access to the river.
Peaceful location with stunning views of Severn towards Elmore and beyond. Easy to spot some rare birds and wildlife on the beaches as they make their way down to slimbridge. Some lovely walks from Westbury and up to Newham on Severn. Also great pubs to enjoy for a break nearby.
A pleasant walk from the village through fields to the riverside then up to the top of the cliff where there are great views of the sweep of the Severn. Cattle in some fields - usual precautions apply!
Amazing view when the weather is nice. Lovely and quiet walk along the field or River Severn. A tiny parking available right at the corner of this location and it's free.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
