A picturesque medieval stone bridge spanning the River Ure in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, featuring five arches and a steep incline, with a rich history dating back to the 14th century.
Park your car in the small car park (west side of bridge) then walk over the bridge for some amazing views. The bridge is high up, you will hear screams from below as they bungy jump. peace is broken by that, but there is room for everyone and some great walks around the area too. Take the steps down from the car park for a 30min circular walk.
Garry Bridge crossing over the River Garry, this namesake bridge is actually a Category B-listed monument in Perth and Kinross. Best viewed from the gorge below, this uniquely-shaped bridge has been built and rebuilt multiple times following its original construction after the famously bloody Battle of Killiecrankie.
Nice place to park car for free and move around couple of points nearby.... The river flowing down is amazing to watch from different locations. The trees around are colourful in fall. Unfortunately the Google map is not taking to the car park; in fact, cuts the trip a few 100 meters away. We had to manually search for the parking spot
Nice viewpoint from the bridge. Easy and quick to access via the car park nearby.
Beautiful stop for some forest therapy.
I enjoyed the long walk to Garry Bridge. There is a trail that leads along the river and across the bridge. It was fun to explore the rocky riverbed and to see the bungee jumping platform under the bridge. Decent views during the right season
