A FARM WHERE THE OWNER TRULY CARES ABOUT HIS ANIMALS. Me and my partner visited this petting farm whilst doing the north coast 500 and it was one of the best places we stopped. Stevie, the owner, was very welcoming and took us on a tour around his farm ,explaining in great detail about all the animals and where the breeds originated from and more. He was very chatty, funny and really made us feel a part of the farm ,encouraging us to get involved in petting the animals and asking questions. You could really tell how much Stevie cared about these animals and the thought and time he puts into them. I loved getting up close and personal with the animals and it was lovely how all they were mostly all free roaming. I would love to return in the future and really hope Stevie gets to do all the things he would like to do in expansion to the Farm!
Wonderful stop on our trip up north, definitely a highlight of the area. The walk around the farm was a great way to stretch our legs and get some fresh air after a long drive. We got to see and get close to so many different animals and Stevie told us all about them. All animals are well taken care of by the owner and we wish him all the best in the future. We'll definitely be back to see the farm thrive!
Stevie is such a kind and caring soul. He loves all his animals and welcomes others to share in that love with open arms. He is quite knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his passion with us. Really neat to see and touch and interact with all these animals. The trails around the farm are beautiful and serene as well. Highly recommend. You won't regret it.
Just left Giese farm and it was the most incredible experience! The owners Isla and Stevie were so very sweet and welcoming, their adorable boys greeted us at the gate. We got a special tour from the two of them all around the property to see the many animals there including bunnies, puppies, kittens, meerkats, pigs, cows, so many chickens, sheep and more. Isla spent some time chatting with us and getting to know us and our travel plans as well as giving us some recommendations. On top of the views and animals being amazing the people running it go above and beyond!
This is how you imagine a farm whose owner loves his animals! Stevie has been developing his farm for 18 months into a paradise for Highland cattle, pigs, ponies, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, rabbits, meerkats and so on and so forth. The project is far from finished; he has just bought land to expand the farm. But it is already well worth a visit. A path meanders idyllically for two miles through the hilly farmland, partly alongside a stream, with wild raspberries along the way. Back at the stables, Stevie talks about his animals and is happy to take a photo of you with the mighty Highland bulls. A clear recommendation! We think it is great and fun not only for kids
We had the loveliest time walking around the farm. It was an interactive encounter and the animals were friendly, roaming the area. The owner was kind enough to give us a tour and a brief history of the place. We loved the highland cows, alpacas and meerkats. Great for kids and even adults. Quite a therapeutic experience.
