Giant's Cave is a massive sea cave located in the limestone cliffs of Gower Peninsula, Wales, UK. The cave's entrance is a towering 20-meter-high archway, and its interior stretches 45 meters into the cliffside. The cave's walls and ceiling are adorned with ancient stalactites and stalagmites, and its floor is covered in pebbles and shells washed in by the sea. At high tide, the cave is partially flooded, and visitors can explore the cavern by wading through the shallow waters.
Walked from Upper carpark to the cave as lower car park was full.. the path is muddy and steep drops on times... I'm not a fan of edges and at times was a bit anxious.. but got through it... not for anyone with mobility issues.. boots needed.. The cave was a welcome side and the view immense....
Natural feature in the rocks above the River Wye along a great walking route between Chepstow and Tintern Abbey.
Very unique experience to run through a cave! Worth visiting
Cave itself is quite small and more of a tunnel. The walk to it is fantastic. High tree line blocks a lot of the views but you do get a good view from the balcony outside the cave.
Great view, and a brilliant location. The walk from the Lower Wyndcliff car park, is narrow in places, can be muddy and does have some shear drops along the way. There are some built in steps, as long as you're concentrating, it's perfectly useable. There is another path leading from the main road (A466) between the Piercefield pub and the Wyes Cats luxury cat hotel, which is easier.
Man made cave along the footpath. Nice views over the river and a very nice walk.
