Lovely to stretch the legs after driving for a while. It was invigorating to have a stroll on the beach after checking out the old bandstand...the chippy sign made me laugh..a point of note..it's 50p via a tap of a bankcard to use the public facilities!
Great all round divers location. Visit for a Chippy or join the many bikers on the first Thursday of every month at West Coast Thunder Thursday. All welcome 1900-2200 April-October.
Lovely place to go on a nice day, has play areas for the kids and the beach is well kept. There's some nice eating places in town, approx 500m walk from the beach.
Lovely sandy beach, lots of free parking, plenty of seats with a nearby play park and boating lake.
I noticed the circular island on my drive back down and decided to pull over to take a better look. The pictures don't do it justice; it's a really beautiful coastline and the island looks significantly larger in person. It's definitely worth making a detour for.
Stayed at the harbour overnight in a motorhome was fine and quiet 10 pounds per night toilet available 50p for a pee
