We visited the Giza Necropolis early in the morning in mid-August; we were the first to buy tickets that day. It was a good decision because, first, there were no crowds at that time, and second, during the day, in that season, the heat is really intense, so it's better to do the sightseeing earlier. The necropolis is magnificent! The tour inside the Great Pyramid of Giza is quite challenging. In some parts, you can't walk upright, it's pretty steep, and on top of that, it's stuffy. The problem arises if a large number of people enter because there's no order of entry and exit, so a crowd can form, which is not pleasant in such narrow passages. Especially not for claustrophobic people. I think almost everyone discovers a bit of claustrophobia in themselves here. Additionally, unforgettable photos can be taken from the plateau, which offers a stunning view of the pyramids and Cairo. Locals offer camel rides or carriage rides, which they charge quite a bit for, and they take advantage of every carelessness to charge you more. Likewise, they will encourage you to take photos, using really great tricks: kissing the Sphinx, putting sunglasses on it, etc., but in the end, they will try to charge you well for that too.

Fantastic place to visit. Everyone should experience the pyramids at least once in their lives. You won't regret it and will cherish the memories forever. Do not be put off by stories you've heard. It is easier to visit with a guide, but at the very least, just do some basic research. Yes, there are a few scammers around, but nowhere nearly as many as made out and watching a couple of online videos should alert you to the tricks. Most people you meet are very friendly and helpful, and even the overzealous sellers at all the tourist sites are just trying to make a living. Just give them a no and be firm. Don't look if you don't want to buy. Above all, remember that you are visiting a major site in a foreign country. Don't be surprised or disappointed or angry when it's not like home. If you don't want to experience different cultures, then don't travel...

Truly the a wonder of the ancient world. 100% recommended. It can be extremely hot and dry. Recommended to pay for the horse ride to the pyramids. Super dusty and sandy as well. Bring umbrella but be careful of the strong winds.

Huge , unbelievable creation. Recommend to ride a horse or a camel because the pyramid complex area is few Sq/km wide. If you want to take nice pics like you are holding a pyramid by hand, you have to go way up to the sandy mountain side. And be careful from scammers.
