This 17-acre park features a large playground, walking trails, a pond, and a variety of flora and fauna. Visitors can explore the park's natural beauty, take a leisurely stroll, or enjoy a picnic on the grass. The park is also home to a number of community events and activities throughout the year.
Great outdoor space in the city with children's play area. We also visited the first Saturday of the month when the miniature railway was running with only PS2 for a ride. Nice little burger van and ice cream van too.
A massive park, great for a walk! Be sure to head to the back field, as there are lovely walk trails through the woods! When it snows, this place is out of this world!!!!!! It literally feels like you are lost in the middle of nowhere! I wish that I could do one more lap of the park. Great park for the kids to play on, plenty of goal posts to have a kick around also
Really nice big park which is great for walking the dogs in, a huge big separate field which wanders along a prettier side of the river and wooded area. You can walk all the way into Newport Town centre from here and it's a really nice walk especially in the summer months. It is quite a dog busy park in the early mornings, late morning is quieter for those who might have reactive dogs. A bit muddy in places so you may need your wellies :-) overall a nice place to visit
Skirting the gleblands is the river usk. There's plenty of parking and a large grassed area with a few trees and benches. A trail path runs along side the river. St Julians comp is sited there too, tennis courts, , St Julian club, outside drinking fountain. Spliting the site is the m4 but don't let this put you off as it's not that bad. I think it adds to the character. As you pass from one side to the other through a massive underpass you are in another green area that contains multiple rugby and football pitches. There's are many that walk there dogs, go jogging or just chill there 4/5 but there's plenty of room and never issues. The site contains children's play areas. Swings, slides ect
Plenty of wide open space for everyone from football and rugby to kiddies letting off steam, doggies chasing rabbits along the river edge or simply just enjoying a quiet wander in the fresh Riverside air. Take your own refreshments as there are no facilities here. There are bins for your rubbish.
Popular dog-walking park, loads of space, is level and virtually totally enclosed by hedgerows, woodland, and a long stretch of the river. Also contains squirrels and rabbits. Car park gets busy at school collecting times.
