One of Ireland's oldest estates, and home to the Earls of Antrim, Glenarm Castle is a 'must see' destination and one of N.Ireland's top visitor attractions.
Tulips festival May 4,5,6 seasons. Nice for kids with lots of rides and attractions. But I feel few more flowers would be great. Felt it's less tulips
Lovely afternoon with a tour of the castle, George the butler and William our guide very informative on all the history on Glenarm castle and the families that have lived there. Gardens are lovely and a good cup of coffee in the cafe.
Got ice cream and pizza in that order . The children had amazing time on landrovers. Great variety of coffee vans , food vans, tea houses and gift shops. Like a small village. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely lunch in the cafe nice choice on menu. It was very busy but got our food without too long of a wait. Beautiful walled gardens. Flower borders were beautiful
Beautiful residence of the present Earl & family. Had a tour of the Castle by George the House Butler who knew the history of the estate inside out and treated us to intriguing interesting little stories of the previous residents and family members! Had us all laughing. King Charles visited after his coronation. Amazing gardens (wall garden included) with beautiful flowers and little water feature in the centre. Lots to see and do here. Pizzeria and tea house as well as ice cream shop. Fantastic local produce for sale including beef and salmon reared on the estate as well as local honey. A hive of industry really with a milk parlour, a clothes shop, heritage centre for history buffs. Great for families and people of all ages. Toilets exceptionally clean and tidy. Worth more than one visit!
The grounds are beautiful and they have many boutique amd craft shops. The castle is well hidden with the tress but it looks lovely. We must have taken an hour in the gardens alone, there are benches to sit and relax. Very peaceful and quiet the day we went.
